Bio

Cassidy Conway Cole is an artist and researcher based in Fort Worth, Texas. Her work examines the systems we inherit, from the environmental and historical to the deeply personal. Working across painting, analog photography, sculpture, and film, she explores how land is used, owned, and remembered, focusing specifically on the oil industry and the shifting landscapes of the American West.

Originally from Tennessee, Cassidy recently returned to the U.S. after completing her MFA at the Royal College of Art in London. Her practice is research-driven and often involves fieldwork and archival materials to uncover the "invisible" stories of a site. Her work navigates the space between critique and complicity, acknowledging the industrial utility of resource extraction alongside its deeper ancestral roots without seeking easy resolutions.

Cassidy’s work is held in numerous public, private, and corporate collections, including the Four Seasons, FirstBank, Tri Star Energy, and Metro Nashville Arts. She has exhibited across the U.S. and internationally, with notable shows in London, Los Angeles, and Nashville. She holds a BA in Art History from Belmont University and remains interested in how we carry forward the unresolved histories of the ground beneath our feet.
